Like silk, sabra is a plant-derived material, extracted from the aloe. The leaves of the plant are soaked in water to extract the fibers, which are then spun, woven and dyed. The aspect such particular of the Sabra is due to the structure of its fibers, crease-resistant due to their elasticity (up to 15%).
Sabra is also less fragile than silk, so this is an ideal fabric for the interior design. The sabra kilim rug has two essential features : flexibility and lightness.
